East Midlands Ambulance Service
We were tasked with doubling the capacity of call takers within the control room whilst maintaining a 24/7 52 week a year operation which meant increasing the critical power and data capabilities along with completely installing new carpet tiles.
Premier was tasked with formulating a workable programme to allow the works to be undertaken with a staged approach acceptable to the client and the end user.
The control room was divided up in to 5 stages to enable this to be undertaken with the first stages being to remove partitioning to create space for works to be undertaken us to relocate the existing staff to their new positions.
The areas freed up were then partitioned off with protective barriers to allow the staged approach to be undertaken. With the area being such a key operation to the functionality of the Ambulance service daily progress/planning meetings took place.
The Ambulance service was able to double their capacity within the control room. We were praised for our management of such a sensitive project which potentially could have had a lot of problems without careful planning.
A highlight was the project was completed 1 week early.
